Why do you think these photos won for 2015?
I think these photos won because they are interesting and nice photos, they are clean looking and have cool designs, aren’t to complicated and have good messages.
What about each photo made them successful?
The different elements of each photo made them a new concept and interesting/different photos. They are all different from each other and have different concepts.
What elements of these photos could you incorporate into your own photography?
I like the unusual perspectives used in all the photos. I would try to use that in my photos to make them better. Also I like the different styles, some have animals, some have designs but they all have powerful messages.

Why do you think these photos won for 2015? because they are the type of pictures you cant just take at any time you want, you gotta catch the moment.
What about each photo made them successful? the pictures are in perfect and clear focus although most of them have action, especially the tornado, it spins extremely fast but the picture is in focus and you can see all the specs of the tornado.
What elements of these photos could you incorporate into your own photography? make some action pictures with focus

I think that these photos won because a lot of them are things you don’t get to see everyday. For example, the tornado, the women standing on a tank, or birds flying from very close up. All of these photos are very well taken (obviously); one of them actually almost looks like a painting.

I think the reason why the photos won 2015 because all of them are different and very unique. I think each photo that won 2015 each of them are different and contain lots of elements of the world. Every time when I take my photos I try to make them different and not the same like the other ones. I love being creative through my photos and making them very unique, weird and strange.

I think these photos won for 2015 because they stand out and show what life is like around the world, and how amazing it can be. These photos had many elements that made them successful. The photographer photographed moments that we may not see in our own lives in person. I definitely was inspired by these photos and they make me want to take more photos when I travel.

These photos are amazing and they all are clear and Geographic. So these photos were chosen for the competition. They are all creative and catches the eye. The tornado catches the eye because it’s dangerous but it’s beautiful at the same time. They are all unique and they all stand out. I love this image of the girl in pink running through a place filled with thousands of crosses. I could make my photos focus on the object that represents the photo stand out better and make sure to create an emotion/ feeling that comes along with the photo I take.

I think that these photos won because they have something that not a lot of people see everyday. I think these photos won in 2015 is because they 1) probably weren’t the easiest to take, 2) they knew what they were doing and 3) they are pretty cool. I like how every photo is different in their own way. In my photos i will probably not turn in a photo unless i like it 100%, if i see something that i don’t like in my photos i will not turn it in, and i think that the people who took the photo wouldn’t have turned it in unless they felt like they did 100%

Why do you think these photos won for 2015? Each photo tells a story. There is a deeper meaning to each photo that tells the background of where the image was taken or what tragedy has occurred.
What about each photo made them successful? The focus in each picture was impeccable. These photos were really great in catching eyes of people who look at them.
What elements of these photos could you incorporate into your own photography? I could find the deeper meaning the photos and use that to my ability in making a story in my photos.

I think they won because they all showed vibrant parts of world filled with personality. The tornado one shows the dangers of the country side, while the bike one shows someone’s treasure. The water one shows a beautiful area of nature. I could use rule of thirds and good subject placement, I know what I’m looking at in each photo.

I believe that these photos won because some of the photos capture strong imagery like a girl running through collections of crosses or with Iranian female students on top of destroyed and rusted tanks. I think that they bring across an impacting subject or they show different sides to things that we may not always see; that could either be in nature or in foreign countries. Most of the images also have a good and wide variety of colors and shapes. I could add more color to my photos and also try to give my pictures a story behind the photograph instead of just taking the “as-is” photo.

These photos won because they are simply amazing. The image of the tornado looks so powerful, almost like you are right on that farm witnessing this storm approach.
What made these photos win was the emotion/feelings they give off. The photo of the child running through the massive heap of crosses gives off the feeling of childlike wonder. The photo of the Iranian women on top of the tank gives off the sense of victory, of overcoming conflict.

I think these photos won because they all had a strong point of view on what the subject was suppose to be without needing to lead the viewers eye. The use of deep depth of field and vibrant colors for most of the images and angles that are used. The use of a sharper focus and longer shutter speed to better capture the details.

I think that these photos won because they are original and would have taken a great amount of effort to get. They all tell a story with just an image. The color is a huge part of what makes these pictures great and I could be more conscious of the color in my photos to make them better.

I think these photos won for 2015 because each photo has a deeper meaning. The more deep you look into the picture, the more detail the image has and kind of shows the past of what happened during that time.
What about each photo made them successful?
They are taken with time and dedication. You don’t just take a picture and magically think that it will turn out to be the best. You have to wait for the perfect time to catch the perfect photo.

i believe that these images were chosen as winners for the reason that not only do they show well the personality or feel of the subject such as in the one of the boy and bike but also capture the natural beauty of those moments like the field of grass or the mountains. many of these imagaes invoke a feeling of wonder for me and other invoke sadness such as the one of the broken tank

I believe that these photos won, because they capture both sides of this earth. The power of destruction that mother nature can produce. As well as the capturing of how life is in another country with limited resources and how a simple item could be so significant somewhere else.

The beauty in simplicity, none of the pictures are over edited, over worked, or have to much going on. It is a simple image with a powerful message or visual.
What elements of these photos could you incorporate into your own photography?
Simplicity, I could incorporate simplicity, and make my photos have a more powerful visual and message.

These photos won awards because they are unique and show how life is in different countries for different species. Adding contrasting subjects to these photos made them successful as well as the textures and colors that many of them had. I think I could incorporate more juxtaposition to my photos and create a photo that has more of an emotion attached to it.
