  2. I think the story she is trying to write is one about a fairy tale or a make believe kind of story. It gives me this idea because of how dramatic the photos are, she gives the person in the image very pale skin, a dramatic and over exaggerated, out of the ordinary wardrobe. She injects narrative by keeping a common theme. I could write a story and then make it come to life through a collection of my photos.

  5. The story Kristy Mitchell is trying to create a fantasy in her photographs. Things that aren’t real is created in these photos and she gets the characters in there personality for the fantasy. I could bring out personality to have that story that Kirsty does so well at creating.

  6. I think that she is trying to channel a fairy-tale story with these photos. Like, all these different creatures, shapes, and objects. They aren’t something you’d see normally in the real world.

What gives me these ideas is the colors and imagery associated with these photos. I like how they all work together in a sort of unison.

The way Mitchell injects this narrative is maybe when she was younger, her mother used to read her fairy-tales, so she used her mother as a subject for her own fairy-tale like photos.

I could incorporate this into my own imagery by creating my own stories of nostalgic childhood feelings.
