  1. What kind of a story do we get out of these images?
We get a story of what is happening in each scene. Like in the last one, breakfast is being made and it shows things moving without the people doing it like it happened over time.

How is the experience of looking at an animated gif different than the experience of looking at a still photograph?
It makes your eyes move, it is like a story, you get a lot more information then just 1 image because you have multiple images in 1 set.

What does movement do to the experience?
Movement makes your eyes flow throughout, and it shows more things then 1 image could.

How does this compare to something you’ve done?
This compares to something I’ve done, because I have changed things in a image, i didn’t make it into a gif sequence but i could have and it would have been similar.

How do these make you feel?
They make me feel interested, wondering what is happening and things are moving by themself so it seems weird.

How is the experience of looking at an animated gif different than the experience of looking at a still photograph?
~It is different because you get to see the movement of what a person is doing and not just a image of something where you have to guess , like with the breakfast image you wouldnt be able to tell that the breakfast was making itself.

What does movement do to the experience?
~ it makes it more interesting and intriguing to look at

  4. A realistic story is played out in these photos. Daily things are played out in these images and some of them offer choice. The gifs are a different experience, it became more realistic in the gifs and I can see more of the story that is being played out. I can see that it’s similar in daily events and choosing what to eat is displayed in one of the gifs whether its a healthy choose or a desert. These gifs makes me feel amazed and very intrigued.

We get to see the more and I feel like with pictures you can only get so much with gifs you get a story that the photographer wants people to get instead of a different way the viewer might see a picture.

  7. I think that these animation are people doing normal everyday things that we do in life. When you look at a still photograph it will look interesting and amazing but if you keep looking at the same photos you will get board and look at another photo, But when you look at a animated GIF it keeps you more entertained and also you look at it more longer than a still photo so maybe that’s why the experience is different. It makes the experience more interesting to look at and a little but more fun to look at. All the photos I did was still photos and it makes me want to create more GIF’s. These photos make me feel happy because the photos are colorful and happy looking.

  8. We get kind of an everyday story out of these photos. They give a spring/summer feel to them, especially the ones that involve flowers blooming. When looking at a still photograph, you don’t really get the same feeling, Gifs give more of a story, because they involve movement and body language that help tell what is going on. I have made similar Gifs using photoshop before with my art, not as good as these of course, but I can see how the artist laid them out. These photos make me happy, because it reminds me of summer and I do miss the warm weather.

  9. We get an every day feeling from these photos. They sorta have a summer/spring feeling due to the colors, the ones with the flowers which is most of them they prove this summery/springy feeling. The GIF gives more of a story rather than the plain picture. These photos make me feel warm due the light colors.

How is the experience of looking at an animated gif different than the experience of looking at a still photograph?
Looking at a still image gives it a king of plain feel to it, but when it’s animated, the audience is always gonna have something to look at while the there are things moving in the picture.

What does movement do to the experience?
To little or too much movement in an animated GIF and make or break an image. It needs to be the right amount of movement for the image to reach its perfect form.

How does this compare to something you’ve done? How do these make you feel?
I’ve recently made an animated GIF myself, but it doesn’t compete with any of these images because my GIF did not include things drawn by my own hands, it only included a subject. It doesn’t make me feel bad about myself, just need to practice more.

  13. I get like people having fun with nature, like a bunch of different families celebrating nature. I guess I could put it that way. It makes everything come to life and makes it more entertaining to look at. Like i said at the top of this sentence, it makes the images come to life. It doesn’t , I mean I can take still pictures but movement photos no. It makes me feel great, I like the colors on there. It makes me want to be there.

  14. with a gif you can show two spectrum of life, motion and light where as with photos it can be harder to show the motion of life and when you add motion you can add more to the message of the image like in the image where certain items in the image are doing something but nobody is doing it and so it makes me think of the sentence “the world goes on without you” but alot of them just tell stories of daily life and adding motion adds authenticity and these compare to the way we’ve made gif in this class. this image relaxes me and gives me a sense of simplicity, life in these images is bright, colorful and simple in the moments it portrays

  15. Each photo tells a different story. In each of them there is a lot going on but you get to see everything that is happening in that scene. Looking at an animated gif is different that looking at a still photograph because it has more movement to it. It feels more creative and imaginative to me too. Movement gives the photo more life and has more of a story to it. I feel like this compares to the slow shutter pictures we took because those had more movement than any other pictures we’ve taken yet.
