Fitting two photos together that one can or could be be inserted in the other a way to paint what could be there or what could eventually happen. Its a really cool effect when the two photos comes together it is as if it belongs there like you can actually see it being there. Ideas of my own that I get from this is maybe due a time leap with two photos and have a really cool effect like this photographer does with his photos.

The effect of showing how something has changed comes out, and it makes it completely new.
What ideas do you get for your own work out of this?
I get the idea of taking a photo, then after things change, go back with that photo in my hand and make it look like we are back in the same photo.

Patterson’s work is about comparing the past to the present by putting a photo from the past within a photo from the present.
The effect that is created when these photos come together is, for some people, nostalgia. You can see the real similarities when these photos come together.
Some ideas I get is to find photos of myself as a kid and take a present photo in the exact spot, but put the childhood photo in the present photo.

I think his job is to merge two photos and make them look real. When two different things come together they create somethings beautiful and the effect that is create is the effect that makes the photo look real. I would want to try try these types of photos and try to at least attempt them.

Patterson uses two or more pictures that fit together and compares. The effect is to create a appreciation for the past. A few ideas i get from these photos are to take a portrait in black and white. and then implement another photo into it that goes with it to make a unique and cool photo.

the point of these photos seems to be is to represent what will be or what was in a specific area, the whole point is to show how things change with time and also tell those lost stories. using two different images gives it a definite sense of separation between the images but that is assisted by the facts the color is removed which removes the chances color clashing and assist in blending the two images however i wonder why some have a very thick separating frame and others don’t like the woman and child in the desert. these give me ideas about how to take pictures like this but blend them by casting a similar effect over the entire image.
